At Hidden Valley Range, we’re committed to maintaining a safe and sustainable environment for our community and operations. To support this, we’ll be temporarily closing our range from June 24th to July 14th, 2025. Here’s why this closure is necessary and what it means for you.

Why the Closure?

This annual closure allows us to carry out essential activities that keep our range safe and operational:

  1. Moving Cattle to Graze: Each year, we bring cattle into the range to graze on the longer grass. This natural grazing helps manage vegetation and promotes a healthy ecosystem.

  2. Reducing Fire Risk: By grazing the tall grass, we significantly lower the risk of wildfires sparked by dry, overgrown fuel. This is a critical step to protect our land and surrounding areas.

  3. Target Reset and Maintenance: After the cattle have grazed, our team will inspect and reset the range targets to ensure they’re ready for use when we reopen.

What This Means for You

During this period, the range will be fully closed to all activities. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we prioritize safety and sustainability. The closure ensures the range remains a reliable resource for everyone in the long term.

Looking Ahead

We’re excited to reopen the range on July 15th, 2025, with refreshed targets and a safer environment. Stay tuned for updates on our website and social media for any additional information.

Thank you for supporting Hidden Valley Range’s efforts to maintain a safe and thriving range. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our team!
